- dc.description.abstract The present work focuses on the role of Iberian languages in cinema and on how these are represented in an ever more globalized cinema industry. In other words, this chapter aims to analyse the presence and absence of the different Iberian languages in cinema. Although my essay mainly concentrates on the cinema produced in Spain, where for obvious reasons language diversity becomes more evident, it also provides some illustrative examples from Portuguese cinema in order to offer a more encompassing Iberian perspective.
