Hacia una biblioteca escolar dinámica y accesible: análisis y propuestas de mejora en tres centros de Barcelona

Abstract

El presente trabajo pretende explorar el papel y los beneficios de contar con una biblioteca escolar accesible, viva, dinámica, actualizada, variada y diversa. En concreto, nos centramos en los centros educativos de titularidad pública donde realizamos las prácticas universitarias en el curso 2021-22: Centro 1 (Barcelona), Centro 2 (Ripollet) y Centro 3 (Castellbisbal). En primer lugar, para conocer el estado actual de las bibliotecas escolares de estos tres institutos, hemos realizado un informe etnográfico conciso y un análisis de las debilidades y fortalezas que pudimos observar e identificar durante ese período. Con tal de profundizar en el estudio y poder extraer conclusiones verídicas y vivenciales, hemos diseñado y compartido un cuestionario con el alumnado de secundaria y bachillerato. Posteriormente, estos resultados han sido discutidos y analizados para ofrecer, en última instancia, una serie de recomendaciones y propuestas de mejora para fomentar la biblioteca escolar y potenciar los beneficios que tiene en el proceso de aprendizaje y enseñanza.

The present research aims to explore the impact and benefits of an accessible, vibrant, dynamic, up-to-date, assorted and varied school library. We focus on three public schools where we carried out our internship during the academic year 2021-22: Center 1 (Barcelona), Center 2 (Ripollet) and Center 3 (Castellbisbal). In order to understand the current state of the school libraries of these three high schools, we carried out a concise ethnographic report as well as an analysis of the weaknesses and strengths that we were able to observe and identify during that period. With the aim of further exploring and drawing factual and practical conclusions, we designed and handed out a questionnaire to the students. These results were later discussed and analyzed to offer a collection of suggestions and proposals to improve the school library and, therefore, enhance its benefits in the learning and teaching process.
