  • dc.description.abstract We study the impact of signal reflections in enclosed/nwireless networks of wearable devices operating at mmWave/nfrequencies. Given the radical blockage by obstacles and people/n(including the user’s own body) at these frequencies, surface/nreflections are expected to be very important contributors to the/ncollection of an adequate amount of desired signal power. At the/nsame time, they are also expected to substantially increase the/nlevel of interference reaching any given receiver. Our objective/nis to understand the interplay of these two effects in relevant/nenclosed settings with high user densities (e.g., commuter trains,/nsubways, airplanes, airports, or offices) in order to help assess/nthe viability of mmWave operation in such settings.en
