- dc.description.abstract In this paper I aim at providing fresh evidence from Catalan Sign Language (LSC) to support semantic-pragmatic theories that treat contrast as a separate category in IS. Following Umbach (2004) and Repp (2016), and inspired by Kimmelmann (2014), I provide a classification of contrast types in LSC, and I analyse the correlation of different combinations of prosodic markers and the pragmatic interpretations they encode.
