Resum
The world of short stories is vast and often complicated. One of the main intentions/nbehind this work is to create an introduction of some basic notions related to short/nstories. Nevertheless, we focus on a particular type of short story: folktales. Kinder- und/nHausmärchen by Jacob und Wilhelm Grimm is one of the greatest models of folktales./nFor this reason we have selected one of Grimm’s tales entitled Vom Fischer und seiner/nFrau (The fisherman and his wife) to make a comparative analysis of three Spanish/ntranslations and a study underlining how the passing of time and the evolution of/nlanguage affect in translations, which derive from the same original text. The/ntranslations used date from 1879, 1956 and 1985. The hypothesis from which the study/nstarts is that there should be a minimal difference between the three translations that/nderive from the same original, and that the existing differences are related to language/nevolution. Nevertheless the results are opposite to the initial hypothesis and they have/ncaused a number of issues for which no response has been obtained and, therefore, are/nopen to discussionParaules clau
