  • dc.description.abstract El motivo visual de la iglesia es recurrente en el cine europeo, indudablemente resignificado por fronteras y épocas. En este ensayo se buscará hacer un seguimiento y un análisis de la aparición de este motivo en la obra de varios directores europeos (y alguno foráneo). Se tomará el sentido de iglesia como hierofanía desarrollado por Mircea Eliade para definir el espacio que ocupa este edificio capital y para analizar como su destrucción o reconstrucción pueden alterar su función de consagrar un espacio.ca
  • dc.description.abstract The visual motive of the church is very recurring in European cinema. Its appearance is undoubtedly altered because of the presence of frontiers and the passage time. In this essay, I will try to analyze the preeminence and recurrence of this motive in the work of several European directors (and a foreign one). I will take the meaning of church as an hierophany, developed by Mircea Eliade, in order to define the space that this capital building occupies and in order to analize how its destruction (and reconstruction) can alter its original function: consecrating the space around it.
