• dc.description.abstract La tradición del simulacro da comienzo con Pigmalión, en el mito de las Metamorfosis de Ovidio. Su herencia ha llegado hasta nuestros días habiendo sido siempre un elemento relevante en el imaginario colectivo occidental, así como en las manifestaciones artísticas a lo largo de los siglos. En el cine contemporáneo el mito aparece a menudo en contextos de relación humano - máquina. Estas interpretaciones están presentes en títulos tan recientes como Her, Black Mirror o Westworld. La finalidad de este ensayo es poner en diálogo el mito original con algunas de sus reinterpretaciones de la posmodernidad para averiguar cómo se ha transformado y de qué forma está presente en el audiovisual contemporáneo.ca
• dc.description.abstract The tradition of simulacrum begins with Pygmalion, the myth from Ovid’s Metamorp-hoses. Its legacy has arrived to our days having always been a relevant part in wes-tern collective imaginary and, as a result, in artistic manifestations throughout history. In contemporary cinema the myth often appears in human-machine relations. These interpretations are made present in recent films and television series such as Her, Black Mirror or Westworld. The main goals of this essay is to set up a dialogue bet-ween the original myth and some of its late postmodern interpretations, and to figure out its role in contemporary audiovisual fiction.
