Los artículos "Café Perec", de Enrique Vila-Matas. ¿Una palestra en el espacio público actual?

Abstract

RESUMEN El presente artículo lleva a cabo un análisis de los ensayos de Enrique Vila-Matas publicados en El País en los últimos años bajo el epígrafe “Café Perec”, especialmente en cuanto concierne a su naturaleza ambigua y tangencialmente política. En ellos, si bien el tema político a menudo se presenta en primer plano, las estrategias usadas (contornos borrosos entre lo real y lo figurado, deslizamiento del sujeto textual, analogías imaginativas) hacen del ensayo algo heterodoxo y cercano al texto literario. En suma, se demuestra aquí cómo estos artículos se configuran como textos comprometidos en un sentido ambivalente, puesto que no se busca adscripción ideológica alguna, sino que prevalece la crítica, la ironía y la ambigüedad interpretativa. Dichas cuestiones conducen a la revisión de la función del escritor intelectual en el paradigma de la sociedad contemporánea y a la presentación de una hipótesis sobre cómo este puede zarandear la conciencia del lector actual, escapando a la disgregación en la inmediatez del mundo virtual. ABSTRACT This article will analyze the “Café Perec” essais by Enrique Vila-Matas for their tangentially political and ambiguous nature. Despite the appearance of a political theme, the strategies used make the essays somewhat heterodox and akin to the literary text: blurry countours between the real and the figurative, slips of the textual subject, imaginative analogies…..In sum, the texts are ideological in an ambivalent sense given that there is no desire to adscribe to a particular political system, but rather for criticism, irony, and interpretive ambiguity to prevail.
