• dc.description.abstract The aim of this study is to explore on the ground the trajectories of young children of diverse origin in the city of Barcelona. As main source of information, in-depth biographical interviews were conducted with 10 young sons and daughters of immigrants living in Barcelona who were born here or came as children. At the present time, where a large number of the sons and daughters of immigrants in Barcelona "comes of age" as a demographic effect of the pronounced arrival of international immigrants starting in the late 1990s, this study asks the young protagonists how they are, and how has been their trajectory up to here. Their selfdiagnosis is seen as an indicator of the degree of inclusiveness of the city and its institutions towards cultural diversity. • dc.description.abstract El objetivo de este estudio es explorar sobre el terreno las trayectorias de jóvenes de origen diverso en la ciudad de Barcelona. Como principal fuente de información se han realizado entrevistas biográficas en profundidad con 10 jóvenes hijos e hijas de inmigrantes residentes en Barcelona que nacieron aquí o llegaron de niños. En el momento presente en que un gran numero de los hijos e hijas de inmigrantes en Barcelona “se hace mayor”, reflejando los efectos de la llegada pronunciada de inmigrantes internacionales a partir de los finales de los años 1990, este estudio pregunta a los protagonistas jóvenes cómo van y cómo ha sido su trayectoria hasta aquí. Su auto-diagnostico se entiende como indicador del grado de inclusividad de la ciudad y de sus instituciones hacia la diversidad cultural.
