Abstract

In this study we are looking at the ancestral state of the risk alleles of psychiatric disorders. The assignation of ancestral state is based in the allele present in chimpanzee. The data was obtained from GWAS analysis. The results show us different Site frequency spectrum of risk alleles patterns between the disorders, some of them showing very similar ones. By comparing our results to other studies we can see that there are different selective pressures acting on the disorders. This information can later be used to direct the research for treatment and understanding of the said disorders.
