• dc.description.abstract El artículo ofrece una primera aproximación al estudio de la presencia y actividad de diversos banqueros españoles que operaron en la capital francesa entre 1820 y 1940. Se presta singular atención a la trayectoria de tres diferentes casas de banca que fueron capaces de sobrevivir a sus respectivos fundadores (como fueron la Banca Uribarren-Abaroa, la Banca Mitjans-Movellán y la Banca Gil). En concreto, se analiza cuál fue el origen del capital que permitió fundar dichas casas de banca, en qué medida el horizonte americano estuvo presente en su actividad, cuáles fueron las fuentes principales de su giro así como los intensos vínculos que acreditaron tener dichos banqueros y sus casas de banca con la sociedad y la economía españolas.
• dc.description.abstract This paper presents a first approach to the study of the presence and activity of different Spanish bankers operating in Paris between 1820 and 1940. This study also pays particular attention to the trajectory of three different banking houses that were able to survive their respective founders (the Uribarren-Abaroa Bank, the Mijtans-Movellan Bank, and the Gil Bank). An analysis is also made on the origin of the capital base that allowed these Banking houses, on how the American horizon was present in its activity, and what were the main sources of their activity, as well as the links that these bankers and their Banking houses had with Spanish capitalism.
