• dc.description.abstract RESUMEN   Es indiscutible que el ensayo ocupa un lugar de especial relevancia dentro de la producción literaria uruguaya. Menos estudiada que la generación del 900 o la del 45, el aporte de la generación del Centenario representa un momento decisivo toda vez que en esos autores se ven consolidadas las enseñanzas del 900, y se proyectan las expectativas que generaciones posteriores intentarán alcanzar. Uno de los espacios de producción intelectual más afanosos en el Centenario fue la Asociación Teseo, cuya tarea fue no solo profusa sino también diversa. Este trabajo intentará reflexionar acerca de las temáticas que se discuten en su Boletín, poniendo especial énfasis en la búsqueda por desarrollar un discurso deontológico que reúna las preocupaciones éticas con las estéticas.     ABSTRACT   It is indisputable that the essay occupies a place of special relevance within the Uruguayan literary production. Less studied than the generation of 900 or 45, the contribution of the Centennial generation represents a decisive moment since in those authors the teachings of 900 are consolidated, and the expectations that future generations will try to achieve are projected. One of the most busy intellectual production spaces in the Centennial was the Theseus Association, whose task was not only profuse but also diverse. This work will try to reflect on the topics discussed in its Bulletin, placing special emphasis on the search to develop a deontological discourse that brings together ethical and aesthetic concerns.
