El Tratamiento informativo de la infografía científica de prensa

Abstract

Esta tesis estudia el tratamiento informativo de la Infografía Científica de Prensa (ICP) como herramienta eficaz y efectiva para emprender procesos de transferencia y divulgación del conocimiento de los hechos relativos a la Ciencia y Tecnología (CyT) dirigidos a un público no especialista. Se ha puesto especial atención al desarrollo histórico de la imagen científica como antecedente de la ICP, así como a las transformaciones tecnológicas que han potenciado las técnicas y los métodos de representación visual para divulgar ciencia. El diseño de la investigación ha tomado como principal técnica el análisis de contenido desde un enfoque cualitativo, pero con inferencias cuantitativas a través de tres ejes de estudio: planteamiento informativo (¿qué se dice?), forma comunicativa (¿cómo se dice?) y función comunicativa (¿para qué se dice?). De lo anterior, ha surgido la propuesta de un modelo conceptual del tratamiento informativo de la ICP, donde se han sistematizado los métodos y las técnicas utilizadas para llevar a cabo una divulgación eficaz.This thesis studies the informative treatment of the Scientific Infographics of the Press (SIP) as an effective and effective tool to initiate processes of transfer and diffusion of the knowledge of the facts related to Science and Technology (S&T) addressed to a non-specialist public. Special attention has been paid to the historical development of the scientific image as a background for the SIP, as well as the technological transformations that have enhanced the techniques and methods of visual representation to disseminate science. The research design has taken as the main technique the analysis of content from a qualitative approach, but with quantitative inferences through three axes of study: informative approach (what is said?), communicative form (how do you say?) and communicative function (what is said?). From the above, the proposal of a conceptual model of the informative treatment of the SIP has arisen, where the methods and the techniques used to carry out an effective disclosure have been systematized.Programa de doctorat en Comunicació
