Resum:
This dissertation attempts to characterise the anti-war movement in Russia in February-May
2022 from the perspective of cognitive linguistics. A special feature of this study is that the
anti-war discourse is presented in visual mode. The analysis included 40 anti-war images
taken from four different sources. As a result of the study, primary visual metaphorical
models were identified within which the anti-war protest movement was conceptualised.
