Per tal de realitzar aquest estudi s'analitza la normativa nacional i europea de l’Impost sobre el Valor Afegit, avaluant l'impacte que té per a les empreses la consagració del principi de tributació en destí i la possibilitat d'utilitzar el règim especial de la “Mini Finestreta Única” per facilitar la declaració. Aquest nou règim presenta certes debilitats, algunes de les quals han estat detectades per la Comissió Europea, la qual al 2017 va promulgar un nou cos normatiu per donar-hi resposta.
