Starting with a question about writing and about what Lacan, in his seminar on Joyce, describes as the savoir faire of the artist, we have addressed the function of writing, which is inseparable from challenging the concept of reading and language, both from a psychoanalytical perspective as well as from other areas of knowledge. What could the artistic context add to that concept, which is what Lacan uses to introduce us to his theory of the sinthome? In line with that logic, we have explored the essence of the psychic experience: the creative act itself. And, meanwhile, we have also listened to what some authors had to say about their creative experiences.
