dc.description.abstract This work analyses the work of Jane Austen from the perspective of Virginia Woolf, in particular Virginia Woolf’s essays on women writers. More specifically, I focus on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice (1813) and Virginia Woolf’s essays A Room of One’s Own (1929) and Professions for Women (1931).
