Abstract

429 phytolith images of eight different morphotypes (bilobate, bulliform, cross, elongate, globular, rondel/trapeziform, saddle, trichome) from soil samples used in a comparative analysis of six classification methods to examine the efficacy of different quantitative approaches for characterising phytoliths and automatically identify them.
