Disseny UI / UX d’una interfície web generadora de llistes de reproducció musicals adaptades per a estimular emocions i memòria en pacients d’Alzheimer

Abstract

La neurociència moderna ha permés a l’ésser humà entendre quin es el valor de la música des d’una perspectiva biològica. Rastrejar l’impacte físic d’aquesta en el cervell, per tal de reconèixer els sistemes i mecanismes neurològics involucrats, ha llançat llum a l’evidència de que es produeix l’estimulació de les neurones i connexions nervioses/npresents a la regió cerebral associada amb la memòria a llarg termini. Life Soundtrack esdevé un projecte d’innovació concebit al Music Technology Group com a eina terapèutica per estimular les emocions i records en persones afectades per la malaltia d’Alzheimer. Fins el moment, la feina realitzada s’ha centrat en la conceptualització i prototipatge d’un algorisme adaptat de recomanació musical. L’objectiu d’aquest treball de recerca és el de dissenyar i desenvolupar una interfície audiovisual usable e interactiva, edificada sobre els principis presents al procés de la percepció humana, tenint en compte les característiques emocionals i socials d’aquest col.lectiu i el seu entorn, per tal de facilitar l’accés del mateix a Life Soundtrack.

Modern neuroscience has enabled human being to understand the musical value from a/nbiological perspective. Tracing the physical impact to the brain, in order to recognize/nthe systems and neurological mechanisms involved, has shed light on the evidence of/nneuron’s stimulation and nervous connections located in the brain region associated/nwith long-term memory. Life Soundtrack becomes an innovation project conceived at/nthe Music Technology Group as a therapeutic tool to stimulate memories and emotions/nin people affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Thus far, the accomplished work has focused/non the conceptualitzation and prototyping of an adapteted musical recomentation/nalgorithm. The aim of this research work is to design and develope an usable and/ninteractive audiovisual interface, built on the principles located in human perception,/ntaking into consideration the emotional and social characteristics shown in this/ncollective an its environament, so as to provide it’s own acces.
