  • dc.description.abstract Epilepsy is one of the most prevalent neurological disease, imposing an important toll in terms of mortality and morbidity, especially among young subjects. A third of epileptic patients do not fully respond to anticonvulsants and roughly half of them can be further treated with surgery.
