• dc.description.abstract Aquest treball és un experiment contra la intrusió de la privacitat d’un usuari quan està/nconnectat a una xarxa sense fils. Es demostrarà que encara que la xarxa estigui/nencriptada és possible tenir una alta probabilitat d’èxit en endevinar què està fent/nl’usuari a la xarxa. La manera de fer-ho serà mitjançant l’estudi del tràfic capturat i amb/nalgorismes d’aprenentatge automàtic. S’intentarà diferenciar entre set possibles/naplicacions com són navegació web, xatejar, jocs en línia, descàrrega, pujada d’arxius i/nveure vídeos. Per fer aquest experiment, s’ha programat una aplicació des de zero de/nmanera que obri un arxiu de captura i pugui organitzar tota la informació i tenir com a/nsortida el resultat de la classificació. Els escenaris de proves han sigut, primerament en/nuna xarxa local privada i després en una xarxa més gran com la d’una universitat, en/nconcret la xarxa eduroam.ca
• dc.description.abstract This project is an experiment against the intrusion of privacy when a user is connected/nto a wireless network. It shows even that the network is encrypted it is possible to have/na high probability of success in guessing what the user is doing on the network. The/nway to do this is through the study of captured traffic and machine learning algorithms./nIt is going to attempt to differentiate between seven possible applications such as web/nbrowsing, chat, online gaming, downloading, uploading and online video. For this/nexperiment, an application has been programmed from scratch so it can open a captured/nfile and organize all the information. The output is the result of the classification. The/ntesting scenarios, are private local network and a wider network as university’s,/nparticularly the eduroam network.ca
