Abstract

The role of women has changed to be that of a mother and worker at a time, causing changes/nin expectations when it comes to having children, delaying childbearing age and deciding/ncreate small cores 1, 2. One of the nurses paradigms is taken into account in these situations is/nself-care, so as a professional in the field of family planning, one of the tasks is to provide/ninformation about contraception, adapting to each person and each time, as the economic,/nsocial, physical or emotional. This could prevent unwanted pregnancies and child abuse. One/nof the natural contraceptive methods, which is integrated into family planning, is the/nlactational amenorrhea method of contraception. This is a method is based on the fertility of/nthe woman who is doing exclusive breastfeeding./nThis study objetive to investigate what is the degree of knowledge that expectant mothers/nhave today about this contraceptive method, as this will guide us to provide the necessary/ninformation and can reinforce the weak points that can be detected with this study. We/npropose a multicentre, quantitative, observational, cross-sectional descriptive. Were given a/nself-administered questionnaire designed ad hoc, in a sample of 148 pregnant women during/nthe third trimester (32-38 weeks gestation), resident in Logroño.
