This presentation analyses Peruvian educational context and explores pre-service teachers’ knowledge and beliefs on media education. A survey with an ad-hoc questionnaire (N=501) was applied to ?nd what they think of media education; its relevance; how is being taught; if they feel competent to teach about media and to integrate ICT into their pedagogical practices.
