- dc.description.abstract In 1908, the writer and philosoph Diego Ruiz published the book El poeta civil i el cavaller. In this work, he vindicated a new model of poet, based on the medieval chevalier prototype, who could lead a new “spiritual” Catalan dictatorship. We will analyse Ruiz’s theory in the frame of the nationalism movement and, more particularly, Enric Prat de la Riba, Eugeni D’Ors and Gabriel Alomar’s contemporary approaches.
