AlthoughH1- antihistaminescurrentlyconstitutethelargestclassofmedicationsusedinthetreatmentofallergicdisorders,somecasesofhypersensitivityreactionsduetovariousantihistaminepreparations,suchasfixeddrugeruptions,contactdermatitis,maculo- papularrash,andurticarialreactions,havebeenreported(1).Wereporthereintwopatientswithchronicspontaneousurticaria(CSU)inwhichantihistaminesactedasexacerbatingfactorsofthediseaseandrequiredanalternativetreatment.Theunderlyingmechanismintheseparticularcasesisnotentirelyclear,butatype-I(immediate)hypersensitivityreactionshouldbeconsideredCol·leccions
