El tiempo de lectura en un centro de secundaria. Análisis del caso del Institut 1

Abstract

El presente trabajo analiza, a partir de la observación durante el periodo de prácticas, la implementación de la franja de lectura libre en el Institut 1 de Barcelona, concretamente en las cuatro líneas de 4o de ESO. Esta investigación se ha completado con encuestas y entrevistas hechas al alumnado y al profesorado del instituto, con el objetivo de determinar si el tiempo de lectura libre responde a la fundamentación teórica propuesta por pedagogos y organismos educativos que lo han impulsado, a la vez que se comprueba su eficacia en el desarrollo del hábito lector y del gusto por la lectura. Como resultado de este análisis, se realiza una propuesta que contempla los factores susceptibles de mejora, partiendo del plano general —la estructura organizativa—, hasta un plano particular —que ponga el foco en cada uno de los perfiles lectores del alumnado—.The following work analyzes the implementation of the daily time slot of autonomous reading in the four groups of the fourth year of secondary school in the Institut 1 of Barcelona, based on the observation made during the internship period in the centre. The investigation has been completed with surveys and interviews with students and teachers, in order to establish if the time of autonomous reading responds to the basis made by the educators and organizations that have promoted this daily time slot, and verify its efficiency in the development of the reading habit and the pleasure of reading. As a result of this analysis, the article makes a suggestion of improvement of the period of autonomous reading, which goes from a general approximation —the organizational structure— to a specific one —that focuses on the different reading profiles of the students—.
