Abstract

Geographical Indications (GI) products are gaining global attention due to their distinct quality and increased demand. However, the regulation and protection of these products vary among key players in global trade, leading to a race for regulation. The European Union has recognized the significance of the GI schemes in new third-generation Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). To bridge the implementation gap faced by GI producers in international markets, a digital interactive story has been designed. This innovative communication tool, resembling a digital comic and computer-based game, tracks the internationalization process of Alta Alella, a wine and cava producer in Alella, Barcelona.
