El idioma materno: la importancia libertaria del significante convertido en libro

Abstract

RESUMEN Este artículo es un estudio acerca del “ensayo de autor” en donde un narrador conversa y fantasea acerca del trayecto de una vida literaria. En un libro de ochenta y cuatro ensayos breves, intitulado El idioma materno [2014], el escritor ítalo-mexicano Fabio Morábito enuncia y describe la pasión, el talento y el trabajo que ensambla su producción. Entre anécdotas, preceptos y afinidades literarias, surge la palabra como el objeto a tratar, el fondo medular es la disyuntiva idiomática entre el italiano y el español al momento de trazar su escritura. El ‘ensayo de autor’, como podemos constatar, se distingue por ser un género literario magnánimo, una escritura que acoge la subjetividad del artista como propia al fijar su horizonte en torno a un oficio en donde el pensamiento y la razón debe lidiar con los apegos, el imaginario y las manías. ABSTRACT This article is a study on the “author’s essay”, in which a narrator converses and fantasizes about the trajectory of a literary life. In an eighty-four brief essays book, entitled El idioma materno (2014), the Italian-Mexican writer Fabio Morabito, enunciates and describes the passion, the talent and the work that puts together his whole production. Amongst anecdotes, precepts and literary affinities, the word is presented as the object of study, the base core is the idiomatic disjunctive between Italian and Spanish at the moment of its writing. The “author’s essay”, as we can note, distinguishes itself on being a magnanimous literary genre, a writing which welcomes the subjectivity of the artist as his own, while fixating his horizon around a job where reason and thought must deal with addictions, imagination and obsessions.
