S’estudia la divulgació del desig homosexual, el que es coneix com sortir de l’armari, perquè es considera un aspecte central en les narratives d’identitat de gais i lesbianes. La hipòtesi de què parteix el treball consisteix a considerar que les identitats gais i lesbianes no es construeixen de la mateixa manera, i que per tant els relats mostraran diferències discursives pel que fa a la modalitat apreciativa i als/nmecanismes discursius. La metodologia que s’ha emprat és una anàlisi qualitativa, mitjançant l’anàlisi crítica del discurs, per observar com es construeix discursivament la identitat homosexual. Els resultats obtinguts mostren diferències de gènere tant en els trets identificadors de la identitat homosexual com en els mecanismes discursius.The XXI century society has shown tolerance, respect and equality toward homosexuals. Homosexuality seems to be increasingly more common: it is shown in films, recognized by celebrities and we feel more comfortable with it nowadays compare to before. More surprisingly is the fact that in the last decade several countries, including Spain, have approved the adoption and marriage between people of the same sex. Homosexuality has long been treated from the psychological, social and anthropological point of view. However, this work aims to be an introduction of homosexuality from a linguistic aspect. The work analyses the discursive construction of twelve personal stories that young homosexuals have narrated how their experience of coming out was. We study the personal story of coming out because it is considered a central aspect in the narrative identity of gays and lesbians. The main hypothesis is to consider that gay and lesbian identities are not built the same way, and therefore discursive narratives show differences regarding the form and mechanisms appreciative discourse. The methodology used is qualitative analysis, using critical discourse analysis to observe discursively constructed homosexual identity.
