Our results suggest that in this case, facial gesture provides children with scaffolding for linguistic meaning, and that explicit belief-reasoning also helps children to infer speaker disbelief. We discuss the implications of these findings for the study of intonational development.application/pdfeng© ISCAThe Acquisition of multimodal cues to disbeliefinfo:eu-repo/semantics/conferenceObjectIntonational developmentMultimodal comprehensionAcquisitionProsodic meaninginfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
