Interestingly, none of these involve the translation of Greek language series, which is the main reason this study has been conducted. The final conclusion this study aims to reachis that even in cultures and languages so ‘exotic’ as one might call them, translating is worthwhile, possible, and useful. Nothing is untranslatable, even the strangest of humours, even the most culture-specific elements can be adapted or transferred, if one decides to think outside the box. Not only do I translate forNetflix, but I discuss how certain extracts can prove useful to language learners, translation professionals and academics. This paper is not meant as a full translation or subtitled version of the series. It is a selection of elements that would create difficulties to the translator and a proposal of how they could be tackled. What determines the translator’s final choice?
