For the last six years, Ukraine has been in permanent military conflict with Russian-backed military groups. The key point of this confrontation was the annexation of the Crimean Peninsula in March 2014. This event has been recognized by the international community as the biggest crisis in Europe since the end of the Cold War. Also, it was a big challenge for international media to cover this conflict because of political and ideological influence. This research report determines the predominant media frames used during the referendum in Crimea.
