Abstract
La tesi Els noms col·lectius catalans: descripció i reconeixement és un treball interdisciplinari en què intervenen aspectes de semàntica i morfologia lèxica amb l'objectiu d'analitzar la noció de nom col·lectiu i establir mecanismes de reconeixement d'aquestes unitats nominals en els corpus textuals, amb l'objectiu final d'avançar en l'etiquetatge semàntic de corpus.<br/><br/>En primer lloc, s'aborda la noció de nom col·lectiu (NC) i la seva classificació semàntica a partir de la relació semàntica que s'estableix entre el conjunt (NC) i els elements que l'integren, i les característiques de cadascun dels elements, d'una banda, i del conjunt, de l'altra. Classificació vàlida per als nom col·lectius en general, i no exclusivament els catalans.<br/><br/>En segon lloc, s'estableixen una sèrie de criteris de reconeixement semanticoformals i morfològics, mitjançant indicadors i patrons, que permeten la detecció semiautomàtica de candidats a NC dins dels textos; i s'apliquen i validen en un corpus textual de llengua general i especialitzat (medicina, dret, informàtica, medi ambient i economia), per al català.
The thesis entitled Els noms col·lectius catalans: descripció i reconeixement is an interdisciplinary work in which aspects of semantics and lexical morphology take part in order to analyze the collective noun notion and establish the mechanisms of recognition of these nominal units in textual corpora, so that, we can advance in the corpus semantic tagging.<br/><br/>Firstly, the collective noun (CN) notion and its semantic classification are treated by taking into account the semantic relationship that is established between the CN set and the elements that compose it. Features of each of the elements on the one hand, and the whole, on the other, are also analyzed. This classification is not only valid for Catalan collective names, but for collective noun in general.<br/><br/>Secondly, formal, semantic and morphologic criteria of recognition are established by means of indicators and patterns that allow the semi-automatic detection of CN candidates within the texts. These criteria are applied and validated in a Catalan textual corpora of general and specialized language (medicine, law, computer science, enviroment and economics).
