Abstract

La inquietante extrañeza en el cine parte de considerar la experiencia cinematográfica como un acontecimiento de la sensibilidad. La sala oscura proporciona una intimidad con extraños, y el silencio y la oscuridad evocan lo ‘infantil inextinguible’ de la angustia, descubierto por Sigmund Freud, cuando se atreve a penetrar la comarca de la estética y teoriza lo Unheimlich como lo extraño que invade lo familiar. Un afecto estético. Esta tesis muestra que el cine es Unheimlich pues acosa la realidad con la hoz de la mirada que afecta, hace germinar dramas y pone en escena fantasmas que inquietan dentro y fuera del campo visual: los fantasmas de la mirada y la voz. El goce del cuerpo frente a las sombras andantes es abordado a partir del apetito del ojo, el drama anatómico provocado por el close-up, las pantallas como ventanas cerradas, la estasis perturbadora de las imágenes, y la voz del otro lado al teléfono como personaje del cine.
