Abstract

Aquest treball té per objecte l’anàlisi i estudi pregon de la novel·la Andrea Víctrix (1974) de Llorenç Villalonga, una obra darrerenca de l’autor, fins ara poc estudiada i representativa del gènere antiutòpic dins la literatura catalana. L’emmarca una introducció general que resumeix els orígens, la raó de ser i la tradició literària dels relats utòpics i antiutòpics. Els capítols següents descriuen la gènesi, tècnica i el mode emprats a la novel·la, les influències literàries existents i l’anàlisi de la positura criticosatírica del novel·lista vers el món del progrés i tot el que s’inclou en ell.
This work aims to analyse and to study in depth the novel Andrea Víctrix (1974) of Llorenç Villalonga, one of the author’s last works, so far little studied and representative of the dystopian genre in Catalan literature. It is framed by a general introduction which outlines the origins, purpose and the literary tradition of utopian and dystopian fiction. Subsequent chapters describe the origins, techniques and mode used in the novel, as well as its literary influences and analysis of the critical and satirical approach of the novelist towards the world of progress and all that it includes.
