Anàlisi del discurs i comunicació científica

Abstract

Aquest article pretén demostrar el valor de l'anàlisi del discurs per contribuir a la recercade la comunicació pública de la ciència. Després de contrastar les diferents maneresd'enfocar la investigació sobre la llengua, des del punt de vista de l'estructura ode l'ús, s'estableix com a objecte propi de l'anàlisi del discurs l'ús lingüístic en el seucontext, així com la necessitat d'ampliar la perspectiva des de diverses disciplines, necessàriesper proporcionar les categories i els mètodes apropiats per a l'estudi d'unitatsde comunicació en la vida social. Prenent la contextualització com a principi bàsic perunir el món de la ciència amb el món de la vida quotidiana, es comenten alguns temesper il·lustrar la necessitat d'aplicar la perspectiva discursiva a la comunicació oral i escritade les ciències: el procés de reformulació en diversos textos i interaccions sobre elmateix tema; el paper dels participants, amb una atenció especial a la construcció de laposició divulgativa, i la citació com a procediment multifuncional per integrar diferentsveus en el mateix text. La comunicació directa, pròpia dels intercanvis orals, s'emfatitzacom a mitjà per investigar procediments discursius que es donen en la dinàmica dela interacció i també per descobrir la importància d'una concepció interactiva dels processoscomunicatius.

This paper proves the value of discourse analysis to contribute to the research of thepublic communication of science. After contrasting the different ways of approachingresearch on language, from the point of view of its structure and its use, the linguistic use in context is established as the object of discourse analysis, just as the need to enlargethe perspective from different disciplines, that is essential in order to supply thestudy of communication units in social life with categories and methods. Consideringthe contextualization as the basic principle for linking the world of science and theworld of daily life, several specific topics are commented to illustrate the crucial needto apply discourse studies to oral and written communication of sciences: the reformulationprocess in various texts and interactions on the same topic; the participants rolepaying special attention to the construction of the popularisation position, and citationas a procedure to integrate different voices in the same text. The immediate communicationtypical in oral exchanges is stressed as a way to investigate discursive proceduresinvolved in the dynamics of interactive processes, and also to discover the importanceof an interactive view of communication.
