La mayoría se trata con cirugía, quimioterapia o radioterapia. No obstante, hay casos que no son tributarios de cirugía o que no responden a la quimioterapia o radioterapia, motivo por el cual en los últimos años se han desarrollado nuevas alternativas terapéuticas. Entre estas destaca la terapia con células T, también conocida como CAR-T cells, una prometedora técnica de inmunoterapia para combatir diferentes tipos de cáncer. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es analizar la efectividad de las CAR-T cells como tratamiento para el cáncer colorrectal, y más concretamente, comparar su eficacia ante dos tipos de tumores colorrectales: los tumores de estabilidad de microsatélites y los tumores de inestabilidad de microsatélites. En la parte práctica del trabajo se ha llevado a cabo el diseño experimental, que se ha basado en el cultivo de organoides y la activación de los linfocitos T con la finalidad de comparar los efectos de las CAR-T cells ante los dos distintos tipos de tumores
colorrectales. Los resultados obtenidos han mostrado que las CAR-T cells son eficaces
y tienen un futuro prometedor como tratamiento para el cáncer colorrectal, especialmente para los tumores de inestabilidad de microsatélites.

Colorectal cancer is nowadays the third most commonly diagnosed cancer in both men and women and is the second leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide. Most of these tumors are treated with surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Nevertheless, there are cases that are not amenable to surgery or do not respond well to chemotherapy or radiotherapy, which is why new therapeutic alternatives have been developed in the last years. Among these, T-cell therapy, also known as CAR-T cells therapy, has stood out as a promising immunotherapy technique to treat different types of cancer. The main objective of this project is to analyse the effectiveness of CAR-T cells as a treatment for colorectal cancer, and more specifically, to compare its efficacy against two types of colorectal tumors: microsatellite stable tumors and microsatellite instable tumors. Likewise, it is in the practical part of the project where the experimental design has been carried out, based on the growth of organoids and the activation of T lymphocytes, with the aim of comparing the effects of CAR-T cells against the two types of colorectal tumors. The results obtained have shown that CAR-T cells are effective and have a promising future as a treatment for colorectal cancer, especially for tumors with microsatellite instability.
