This research is oriented to know those predominant behaviours and cognitions related to jealousy in teenager-dating relationships. Furthermore, it analyses how they change after applying an educational intervention, specifically designed for a sample of 102 adolescents, all of them between 15 and 17 years old.
The results support the main hypothesis and show how three of the four variables studied exist a significant percentage of young people who decreases the number of celotypic responses in the second phase of the study. However, inconsistent non-significant behaviours are detected in one of the variables.
In conclusion, these data reveal the importance of educational interventions for the
prevention of risk behaviour in the context of sentimental relationships.
