Creo que es algo genial |
1 |
Don't exactly know, t just doen't feel like it |
1 |
1 |
Fanfic is more of complete story that is told at once, not tweet by tweet. |
1 |
I am occupied by something else usually |
1 |
I consider it more live RPG |
1 |
I don't consider any kind of role playing to be fanfic. It's its own thing! |
1 |
I don't use Twitter and don't think of it as fiction really. |
1 |
I guess I consider role-playing as related to fanfiction, but a separate activity |
1 |
It would seem too "gimmicky" to me. |
1 |
It's roleplaying, not fanfiction. |
1 |
JUT NOT INTO IT |
1 |
1 |
Never really got into role playing |
1 |
Ni idea de que es |
1 |
No lo conozco |
1 |
RP is a different form of fannish interaction |
1 |
Role playing is a fanwork, but it's a reactive work, not a narrative creation. |
1 |
Role playing is different than writing/reading a story with a plot which is what fan fiction is. |
1 |
Sure why not? |
1 |
Too meta. I know that they're fictional characters |
1 |
Too time consuming |
1 |
it's not as focused |
1 |
it's weird. |
1 |
lack of time |
1 |

1 |
never heard of it |
1 |
no juego al rol |
1 |
no lo conozco |
1 |
1 |
twitter format too brief |
1 |
Fanfic, to me, involves a thoughtful writing process. Anything asking fans to simply react, pretend, game, or participate just to get attention isn't true fanfiction-- though it is still an important part of the fandom. |
1 |
I would say maybe, but social media platforms might be too limited to allow any meanginful role-playing to occur (e.g. Twitter's 140-character limit) |
1 |
I define fanfiction as containing some sort of storyline. While interesting and most likely filled with lovely facts and anecdotes, there is no story, therefore I don't really classify it as fanfiction. |
1 |
1 |
Not exactly. While it does delve into the character, I think of fanfiction as being the tradtional "drabbles, short story, novel" written fiction format. |
1 |
RP is a seperate fan tradition (although plenty of fans do both), I don't think you should erase their traditions by lumping them together. |
1 |
I don't mind at all that other people do and understand the logic, but it doesn't serve the same function, for me. RPs aren't written for an audience and they don't read that way. |
1 |
1 |
Because I consider roleplay a very different thing to writing fiction. The former is acting and reacting, albeit in a literary form, to immediate events in the rp thread. The latter requires crafting an overall story, with plot and characterisation for multiple characters, and some ultimate resolution to the narrative.. |
1 |
I consider role playing and fanfic as two different things. Fanfic is more traditional narrative. |
1 |
I feel like fanfiction has to have some sort of story or plot. I don't think role playing is quite the same. |
1 |
Because fanfiction is fiction fans have written. Unless they start writing stories within those tweets, then no. |
1 |
RP can be cleaned up and turned into a fic, but I think RP has too much of a spontaneous and unplanned bent to fall under the label fan fiction. |
1 |
Fanfiction to me is a composed and coherent story. Role playing doesn't have a defined start and end nor does it usually have any sort of plot line. |
1 |
1 |
I like to read stories with a pre-defined plot, not only dialogue but descriptions, and I like character development. |
1 |

1 |
From time to time. |
1 |
I browse summaries almost daily and if I see something that interests me I'll read it |
1 |
I check for updated/ew fanfic at least once a day |
1 |
I check them if I can or when they are available |
1 |
I dip into the fandom as need be |
1 |
I haven't found any writers who have inspired me in the Fringe Fan Fiction community |
1 |
I only read completed fic by authors I trust |
1 |
I only read completed stories! |
1 |
I read stories only after they're finished. |
1 |
I read them when I feel like it |
1 |
I usually just read specific ones that peak my interest |
1 |
I usually only read things 10-15k words or less, and I don't read WIP's. |
1 |
I usually read one-shots, whenever interesting ones get posted. |
1 |
1 |
Prefer to read complete fics only |
1 |
1 |
no leo |
1 |
usually short ones whenever I have the time and want to read some |
1 |
I usually hold out for completed works - waiting for updates is hard. I bookmark in progress works so that I can come back to them. |
1 |
I don't like reading WIPs, in case the author never finishes. I only read completed fics and then I just read them and don't stop til I'm finished. |
1 |
I usually read oneshots and complete stories when I'm in the mood. I'm not following any works in progress. |
1 |
Some days I read a couple completed ones; some days none at all; not following any incomplete ones. |
1 |
I'm doing a phd also, so I will usually bookmark any WIP's as they're updated and either read them when I have time, or set aside an afternoon when I'm sick of studying to read all the bookmarks and anything new I've seen. Sometimes it's a once a week thing, other times it could be once every two months. It really does depend on how much I want to read it and how lazy I'm feeling. |
1 |
Whenever the fancy takes me or something interesting comes up on my reading list - every few weeks, at the outside. I tend to avoid WIPs. |
1 |
The majority of Fringe fanfics seem to revolve around the Peter-Olivia relationship, which is not something I am interested in, leaving little stories that spark my interest in reading. |
1 |
I've never read a Fringe fanfic that was longer than a oneshot so I'm not sure how or whether to check those boxes. I read one whenever one comes up on my friends list that looks interesting. |
1 |
I almost only read one-shots or completed fan fiction. Maybe about one a month or so in Fringe fandom. |
1 |
I read around 5 stories per week, but I specifically search for finished ones so I don't have to wait for updates. |
1 |
I used to read a lot but lately i don't find anything I like (Peter/Olivia that isn't too cheesy or completely dramatic) so I'm sticking with the one I love (it's a WIP) |
1 |
I've sort of moved on from Fringe fanfiction due to a lack of updates, but I do check from time to time |
1 |
oddly enough, I've never really gotten into Fringe fanfic; it's the only one of my fandoms where I haven't done so. |

1 |
stories where the main characters actually fit canon description, good grammar etc |
1 |
1 |
A good fic has strong characters that reflect canon, a good emotional core, and an interesting plot or event to drive the story. Spelling and grammar are also essential. A good beta reader knows the characters and canon well enough to give advice and catch mistakes. The beta should know the vocabulary of the show really well, because shows like Fringe have a special language. Betas also need to be good with spelling and grammar. A great beta is someone who can discuss ideas and make suggestions to improve the story. |
1 |
1 |
Good fanfic: good characterization, good writing, meaning grammar, good descriptions but not too overly done, a fairly good plot (I can personally overlook this if the writing is enticing enough), a ship that I'm interested in or a role (ie: Olivia as a mother) that I'm fond of. Good beta: be able to help with grammar (since I'm not an English native speaker), be fast and be able to give constructive criticism honestly without their feelings or personal tastes getting in the way. Also to be able to give advice as to the plot of the story, someone to run your ideas by. |
1 |
- a decent grasp of the character's voices and personality (to avoid OOC scenes and dialogue) - good use of grammar and spelling. (Sometimes if a fic is really good I can look past this, but most of the time I find it's a good indicator to tell whether the story is going to be good or not) - this is just personal preference but I like fics that contain plot. Character studies and one-shots can be great, but if it hasn't got a bit of direction there's a big risk of lots of rambling where the fic doesn't go anywhere. Whether someone is a good beta or not really depends on what the author needs. Do they need someone for plot, to bounce ideas off of? Or are they looking for someone who can help with the technical bits, the grammar and spelling? |
1 |
1 |
It should have all the markings of a good story in general. This means correct grammar/spelling/syntax/etc., as well as a compelling storyline, realistic characters, and so on. In the case of Fringe fanfiction, this would extend to the fidelity of the portrayal of the characters in relation to their television counterparts, unless there is an explicit divergence in format (AU, Crack, Slash, etc.). |
1 |
1 |
The writing must be of high quality (not just spelling and grammar wise, but also a coherent plot and good storytelling), as well as characters being as in character as possible. |
1 |
Good grammar, strong plot, interesting storyline, no Mary Sue, strong vocabulary. Beta should have good grammar, constructive criticism and analysis, should offer suggestions that improve story but doesn't change the author's view. |
1 |
1 |
Superb use of language, knowledge of the show, great character insight. As for beta readers - I don't know, I'm not one. |
1 |
I think a fic needs substance and background...not something out of left field. Rather, something that reflects the true nature of the characters, mainly Peter and Olivia, that make it believable and real. |
1 |
1 |
Fic: author displays knowledge of canon and knows characters very well; story has new ideas or new takes on ideas Beta reader: firm grasp of spelling, grammar, punctuation; knows canon and characters very well |
1 |
1 |
A good fic should have good characterization based on canon (tv show + derivatives) and a story that offers a different perspective or bring new light into character backgrounds as well as the direction of the plot. Good fic should also have proper grammar and spelling. Good beta readers should check for grammar, but it is more important that they note how they perceive different dialogue and descriptions as if they are the audience. Good beta readers provide ample feedback no matter how small the nitpick. |
1 |
The most important quality of a fic is the good characterization. It must stay loyal at the characters of the show or the narrative doesn't make sense. |
1 |
Good grasp of characters. AU is ok but I prefer to read a good character based piece of work. A good beta reader needs to know the TV show, have a good grasp of the language and grammar that it is being written in. A poor piece of grammatical work has stopped me reading in the past. |
1 |
A good grasp of the characters and an awareness of how to utilize narrative. A good beta should be able to pick apart whether something is in character as well as critique the flow of the story itself. |
1 |
1 |
Characterisation that stays true to that in the show (unless they're deviating from it for a specific creative purpose); interesting plot; engaging writing style; good grammar, punctuation, spelling. To be a good beta reader - have an eye for details, be able to pick out language errors, be able to spot inconsistencies and narrative loopholes, know how to give constructive criticism in a friendly, polite manner, but without shying away from pointing out areas that can be improved or which suck. |
1 |
1 |
Readability, accuracy to characters and the style of the show they are based on. A good beta reader must have this in mind, and also be looking for spelling/grammar errors |
1 |
The prose must be serviceable, the characters in character, it helps if there's some emotional heft to the story. A beta reader needs a good grasp of grammar, as well as being familiar with canon. It helps if they're a writer themselves and can help craft better narratives and indicate ways to use language more compellingly. |
1 |
1 |
Fanfic: Spelling and grammar first of all, I like things that read like canon sources. Also, accurate characterization. Beta: Whatever skills the author isn't the best at. |
1 |
I suppose, for me, one of the main appeals of fanfiction is that it can take any form; it doesn't have to be 100% true to the TV show/book/film/etc, and I enjoy reading AU fics and alternate endings to different situations. However, I think that when someone alters the fundamental elements of a character (unless, of course, a character is purposefully the polar-opposite), it becomes unreadable. I have never been a beta reader, so I don't suppose I can answer that question properly! I would say that it should be someone who is familiar with the structure of fanfiction and is an avid reader, someone who knows basic grammar and knows a lot of vocabulary. Of course, I think it would help if they were an actual fan of the TV show/film/other, too. |
1 |
1 |
It must be true to the characters' voices, even if AU. The best are stories I can envision being played out. Beta reader should be familiar with canon, have good spelling/grammar/punctuation skills, have the desire to see the other writer produce their best work, and be willing to offer suggestions & ok if they're not used. |
1 |
A good beta should, first and foremost, be able to offer their real opinion without fear of offending the author. They should also have strong spelling and grammar skills, obviously strong language skills in whatever language the fic is written, and ability to communicate with the author in a timely manner. (That last one sounds obvious, but I've met some betas who just do not get back to you until the very last minute.) A good fanfic is much trickier to define. It should DEFINITELY be in character at all times - that includes characters' actions as well as dialogue. It should be spelled and punctuated as well as a published book would be, and if the author doesn't have those skills, they *really* should ask for a beta reader who does. Likewise if it's written for an English speaking audience, it should be beta'd by a native speaker. It should have a believable storyline - regardless of how canon went, the story within the fic should be something within the realm of possibility (unless we're talking about 'crack fic', in which case anything goes, but the internal story itself should be consistent, well-thought out, and IN CHARACTER). It should make me, as a reader, feel something for the characters. Since I can't comment on the question below ("which aspects should you focus on most?"), I'll add it here: I would focus on every single one of those, not just five, and all are as important as each other. Except perhaps fidelity to fanon. But any of the others, if they're not given proper attention, will let the whole story down and turn what could be a really good fic into a mediocre one. |
1 |
1 |
IC:Characters must be in character. Good OC:I adore OC'S but there are bad OC'S it really helps if the OC is so good you start caring for them, almost as much as the canon character. Different plots:I really don't like reading the same plot as every other fanfiction does, try to be original bit. Don't only use the core cast:Yes we adore them, but there are other characters who fanfiction writers pass off. Good spelling:Need it be said? At least try to keep updates coming, and if it going to be awhile, or worse you not writing anymore of it, please tell the readers there want to know. |
1 |
1 |
Most importantly,to be canon, but that doesn't exclude character development as long as it doesn't interfere with the 'basics' given by the creators. |
1 |
a good fic has to capture the characters and describe them accordingly - what they say and do in fic should be explainable by their characterization by the show |
1 |
1 |
The plot must be interesting, the story has to be well written with few grammatical errors and in some way I have to believe that the characters might do what the person is saying or if not, the world the author has created has to convince me the characters would do what they are doing. |
1 |
Good grammar and structure, otherwise it becomes a pain to read. A good grasp on the characters help too. A beta should not only be able to look and correct these kind of mistakes, but hopefully have a good idea as to the fandom too, as they are also there to help the author channel their interpretation of the characters and maintain continuity (unless the fanfic in question is an AU). |
1 |
To be a good fanfic, it must have relatively flawless mechanics, a compelling plot or idea, and strong, canonical characterization. And like any good book, it has to grab my attention and hold it. It must take me on a journey, however short. |
1 |
1 |
1 |
I think that the characters need to be in character and if they are not, there must be a very good reason for it. In the case of Fringe, this could mean an alternate version of a character or time travel that changed something in their formative life, for example "What if Olivia's stepfather never abused her?" Mostly, though, I think the characters should be in character. I think the best fanfiction has dialogue that mirrors the pace of the dialogue in the show. I only read fics with good grammar; if it is bad, I exit out immediately. Most good fics are in the third or first person; it is rare that a fic written in second person is any good. I have had fanfics bring me to tears and to laughter. I think a good fanfic should at least aim for those reactions in its readers. A good beta checks grammar and continuity, makes sure that canon references are correct, and gives the author advice on the direction of their story. They tell the author when a scene should be expanded or condensed. |
1 |
1 |
The characters must be true to their characterization on the show. A writer needs to really understand the show. A good beta should be objective and be willing to explain what works and what doesn't |
1 |
In order to be good, a fanfiction story should be well-written; the characters and voices should be in-character and recognizable. I ask my beta readers to offer a variety of responses, ranging from whether or not they liked the general premise to matters of voice / characterization to spelling and punctuation. |
1 |
The fic must be in-character, have good spelling/grammar/punctuation/use of tense, and be interesting. A beta reader must be a native speaker of the language in which the fic is being written, have a great grasp of spelling/grammar/punctuation/tense rules, and be able to point out plotholes and out-of-character moments. |
1 |
I don't necessarily believe in an objective "good" when it comes to literature. People have different tastes and different interests. Correct grammar, no typos, etc, obviously, which is what I think is a beta reader's most important job to fix. |
1 |
1 |
Sense of characterisation, plot, realistic dialogue. I guess for me a beta would be first and foremost to check spelling and grammar, and maybe offer suggestions on clarity of plot, characterisation etc |
1 |
1 |
Well written, syntactically well-formed, interesting, following a storyline (rather than just pointless fluff), exploring characters and relationships, in-character (not a fan of AU or OOC). |
1 |
Good writing, an excellent grasp of the characters, decent plotting, and a nice balance of inner thought, dialogue, and action. Frankly, I don't know what Beta-ing is. |
1 |
The fanfic must be well-written. Other than that qualification, I'll ready pretty much anything. A good beta reader should be supportive, give good constructive criticism, and support to help get through writer's block, lack of inspiration, etc. |
1 |
At the very least, proper spelling and grammar. Then a strong understanding of the show, the characters and their personalities, and an interesting story. Beta readers should have excellent language skills to correct spelling/grammar/etc, and also a strong knowledge of the show to point out mistakes, or give suggestions if needed. |
1 |
1 |
A fan fic needs to make you care about the characters, what they are doing, and how they are feeling while leaving you wanting more. |
1 |
1 |
YMMV. Just because I love it doesn't mean someone else will and I'm not putting value judgements on that. For me, though? Good fic can't bash characters, should ideally be feminist (intersectional feminism is even better) and should deliver a consistent, appropriate tone. A few typos are okay (it happens) but effort should be put into grammar, spelling, and internal structure. A good beta reader is honest, critical, and knows how to delivery praise alongside the criticism. |
1 |
Basic qualities a fanfic must have in my opinion: good grammar, characterizations that match those in the show, an interesting plot, an ending- a lot of authors don't bother to finish their fics, they'll get a good idea flowing but won't know how to end it. Basic quailities of beta reader: good understanding of sentence structure and vocabulary, a good motivator and/or able to give constructive criticism when necessary but able to keep the author upbeat and positive about their writing (pointing out both strengths and weaknesses), a good understanding of the author's intentions of how they want their story to be and a respect for knowing when to back off with suggestions that might go too far in the author's mind...it's the author's story, not the beta's. |

I have made friends, but I'd definitely said it's an editor-writer dynamic. |

It strengthens the authors craft thanks to a bet-reader. Sometimes you can make friends. |

1 |
The relationship is sometimes as simple as a grammar and vocabulary check - like a copy editor. The best relationship is when the beta is someone who guides the author through hard-to-write parts and offers helpful criticism - like a literary editor. |
1 |
1 |
I guess it can be compared in a way but it is not the same. In the case of beta readers the relationship develops at a different level since it is not really a business relatioship. Fan fiction writing in general is a much more altruistic activity than publishing/editing a book so the relationships derived from it are based in a different social dynamic. I haven't personally made any friends like this because I haven't ever beta-ed a fic and never have been beta-ed. |
1 |
1 |
I have but it's been a while since I've had a beta. I do believe that betas and authors should get along and have some similar views, because the beta has to be able to get what the author means, and because they should be able to give proper criticism without being afraid of doing so. |
1 |
Yes, I would imagine it's very similar to editor/writer.I think you have to have a level of trust. I've made several friends; in fact, my closest friend is a woman that beta'd my first fic, and I hers.We became writing partners & co-authored a couple of fics. We bounce ideas off each other, help each other get 'un-stuck' while writing, cheer each other on, and provide brutally honest critiques of each others' writing. |
1 |
I don't know what an editor/writer dynamic is, but I'd compare it to asking your friends to read over a thesis draft. |
1 |
Si, si he hecho amistades debido a eso |
1 |
No he hecho amistades, pero sí he mantenido buenas relaciones.
1 |
A more informal editor-writer dynamic, with potentially less input in regards of what is changed by the beta. Haven't beta'd. |
1 |
I think the two should either have been online friends/acquaintances beforehand, or become friends through the process. |
1 |
1 |
I would think it is like an editor writer dynamic. I know of friendships that have begun because of meeting through beta/author relationships. |
1 |
Willingness to put your work in another's hands and trusting him or her to make it better. Yes, very similar to editor/writer dynamic. Yes, I have made friends as a result of this process. |
1 |
I've never made new friends, but beta'ing has brought me closer to existing friends/acquaintances. I don't know what the professional editor-writer dynamic is like, but that's how I tend to think of it. Ultimately, the author is the authority on the story; the editor is there to make suggestions (that the author is usually smart to follow, but it's always their call). |
1 |
It is a collaboration. You can make suggestions as both and see where this takes the story. Sometimes as a beta you are just there to agree and say it's fabulous. Other times you can suggest plots points, ways to take the story etc. |
1 |
1 |
Yes. I have no made friends from beta reading, because I only do it for people who are already my friends. It's too much work for me to do it for someone I don't care about. |
1 |
1 |
Yes. Fanfic writers are scoffed at by people, but we're no different to any other unpublished writer. Some of us are better (I'm looking at you, E. L. James.) Aside from being paid, a beta should be exactly like an editor, so yes, that dynamic is exactly the right comparison. And in my 10+ years of fandom, I have made many friends through challenges and beta'ing. |
1 |
He hecho grandes amistades gracias al fanfiction. |
1 |
An author is, of course, the creator of the story, but the beta-reader is not necessarily just an editor. They act as the potential audience when reading a fic and can offer feedback on how scenes should go, and not just check grammatical/spelling errors. I am usually friends with my beta's before I ask for them to beta fic. |
1 |
Yeah, I'd compare it to an editor-writer dynamic, though I don't know how exactly to describe the relationship. My two beta readers (not for Fringe fandom though) were already friends to begin with, who are familiar with my writing / fandoms, and whom I trust to give me constructive criticism. For people I beta-ed for, they were usually strangers, and I have made friends through it - they'd send me their original fic to beta too - though we were not that close and I don't think I'm in touch with any of them still. |
1 |
I have made many friends through the beta/author relationship! It is similar to the editor/writer dynamic, but without the hierarchy or power differential present in many editor/writer contexts. Usually my betas and I beta for each other -- it's reciprocal. |
1 |
1 |
I feel the betas are sort of like editors. My readers always give me constructive feedback to make my fics better. |
1 |
I don't really write fanfiction, and one time I did I never got a replay, and my cousin tries to help but my spelling isn't very good, I like picture them having a close bond. |
1 |
1 |
I haven't done this before, but in being a creative writer (not of fanfics though), I realize the relationship to be a constructive and communicative one. The two people (editor and writer) must be on the same page and vibe of the story in order to get somewhere. |
1 |
I've only ever really had my friends read my own fic, so it was more just an offshoot of our existing dynamic. I've been asked to beta read fics and haven't really sustained any relationships through that-- not sure if that was due to how I beta'd or other factors. It never went sour, but I never exactly pursued a relationship outside of beta'ing either. |
1 |
For Fringe, I've only beta'd once, and it was for someone I didn't really know - just looking over it as an extra pair of eyes. I've done more beta reading for Big Bang Theory, though, and through the process ended up being a lot close to the author, and she's now one of my best friends. I would say the editor-writer dynamic is pretty appropriate, though it varies depending on the initial relationship between the two (betaing for a friend vs someone you don't know). |
1 |
1 |
I think it is very similar to the editor-writer dynamic, though with fanfiction the author has more power. |
1 |
I have made friends through this relationship, and I think that at best, it is like an editor/writer dynamic |
1 |
My experience has been a positive one. I do think it has an editor/writer dynamic, with both parties working together for the benefit of the story in question. Of the four people I have Beta-read, I have formed a strong partnership with one in particular; I Beta-read this person's fics, and this person gives their input on my own work and ideas. |
1 |

Yes. Most of my own work is long, and beta'd over a period of several months before I start publishing any of it. I am currently working as a beta for a friend who's writing the first of 22 planned chapters and none of those will be published before the story is complete. I think it depends a lot on the author's style, on the site it's being uploaded to (tumblr and fanfiction.net are much more common to see WIP's on than, say, Archive of Our Own) and what fandom is being written for. |
1 |
1 |
Not in Fringe fandom, but yes. Fringe fandom seems more likely to post longfic all at once with timestamps coming at a later date, but there's enough of a dearth of longfic that it's hard for me to generalize with certainty. |
1 |
1 |
Not a complete long story. Most authors I've read write chapter to chapter, although I typically write the whole story before publishing. |
1 |
I have only Beta-read singular chapters and one-shots. For chapters, I receive them one at a time, and the author posts the revised chapter before sending me the next one when it is ready for review. |
1 |
Yes, when it was for a Big Bang, where the stories needed to be posted in their completion along with art that someone else made for them. Those would be rarer circumstances, though. |
1 |
I'd never beta something that wasn't already finished. I don't think it's a good idea for authors to put stories out there before they're finished, and I don't read works in progress. |
1 |
1 |
Only once, but its worth it, as it gives the author a well-rounded critique before they post their fanfic. |

Angst. I like hitting people in the feels. |
1 |
1 |
Family, romance...the complexity. |
1 |
Generally I tend toward hurt/comfort. |
1 |
I enjoy writing Altverse stories, mostly romance and friendship (team) stories. |
1 |
I'm more of the science vs. faith and family. Hurt/comfort too. |

Romance is my favorite genre to write. I am a hopeless romantic and POlivia has great potential. |

1 |
1 |
romance in general (both hetero and slash) |
1 |
I tend to write character centered fics (though I must admit I've only written a few fics myself) |
1 |
I write for gen/action because it the same genre that I like to read and is most like the show itself. There is focus on relationships and drama there as well of course, but it's not the main point of the story and that's just what I prefer. I also love AU's because you can explore certain characters or universes that didn't get a lot of screen time. |
1 |
It's almost all crack (e.g. love letters between Gene the Cow and Mr. Papaya). I barely write Fringe fic, and I think the only instances I've written for the fandom were based off writing prompts that sounded interesting, or landcomm challenges. As such, I've never really put in effort into my Fringe fic - they're just short one-shots written on the spur of the moment, unlike for some of my other fandoms where fic is srs bsnz and I spend eternities planning storylines and fretting over getting the characters' voices right. |
1 |
I haven't written much, but since the mythology of the show overwhelms me, I'm more content to explore quiet, relationship type moments set outside the current context of the show or missing scene fics. |
1 |
hurt/comfort, angst, drama, romance, case fic Why- because I'm a shipper and I love the drama of science fiction |
1 |
My are of interest concerns the Observers. I have written two series with heavy Observer prominence, one being strong sci-fi, the other being comedy, and I intend to write more Observer-heavy stories in the future. Observers, and the scientific ideas explored in the show (quantum mechanics, physics, etc.) are the two primary elements I most enjoy from the show, which I have incorporated into my writing. I am also interested in the "case" fic genre, revolving around the Fringe team solving an original Fringe case. My interest in this genre stems from the aforementioned interest in the scientific concepts explored in the show. I am not interested in romance, slash, fluff, angst, or fics revolving mostly or purely from interpersonal issues, as these things don't appeal to me. |
1 |
Anything female-centric, especially but not always focusing on the relationships (friendly, familial, collegial - anything but romantic and/or sexual) between them. |
1 |
1 |
Maybe romance, because a lot of my shorter things tend to be focused on Peter/Olivia, but my current work-in-progress, by far my longest Fringe fic, is more of a character study of Etta than anything else. |
1 |
This is a difficult question. I suppose if you were to put a genre label on my work, you'd call it romance, but it's not really a romance plot. I only write for one pairing (Olivia/Peter) and what I write tends to be either an episode response fic (short, addressing or re-writing something that happened in the episode, such as when they closed the gateway between the two universes in season four) or a character-centric exploratory fic, that is less about an external plot and more about examining what a character is feeling and why. And I would say I'm more interested in these because this is what most interests me in life - I'm curious about what people feel, why they feel that way, what *else* they could have been feeling at that point in time. (Also because I don't always like how canon turned out, or implied a character's feelings. One of my 'episode responses' was a re-working of Peter's thoughts regarding the 'other' Olivia.) |
1 |
angst: basically because I love this genre. i love to read and write it, and I think Fringe has a lot of space for it. Romance: idem. |
1 |
I prefer character pieces, because the story, no matter how riveting, is centered around the characters and how they live through their experiences. I guess the genre is more drama/family/relationships than anything else. I also like AU. |
1 |
with fringe i am more interested in the love and family aspect between peter and olivia and by extension walter and etta |
1 |
1 |
I find that Blueverse tends to lend it self more to ponderous, heavy handed things, and Redverse is better at handling light hearted better, just due to the nature of how the central characters in both universes have diverged. |
1 |
I enjoy femslash because it's not something we're actually going to see on the show. I also like to write humour, because it's something the show has a lot of potential for, but due to the serious tone, we rarely get more than glimpses of it. |
1 |
1 |
I lean more to relationships, usually the romantic. I also enjoy writing the 'missing scene' fics, as there's a fairly well defined framework within which to work. |
1 |
Smut. For whatever reason, it's what I most associate with FanFiction in general, and is really the only thing I'd feel like writing. |
1 |
Character Studies. There are a lot of underutilized characters on Fringe and I like to explore them in more detail. |

If you're an author writing AU, not all of your readers are going to like your points of view or respect your license for creativity regarding their favorite TV show. Some readers are very adamant about sticking to canon, so you could lose readership. Advantages of AU would be that you need to be more creative I think to be able to write AU and I tend to think that authors who write AU have a reputation of having vivid imaginations and the talent to create original plot lines- some of the better authors write AU. Canon stories have the advantage of paying homage to the show by keeping it true to what people are used to as far as characters and plot lines- it keeps the show alive in a sentimental way after the show gets cancelled. Disadvantages of canon- could be difficult to stay creative and not repeat ideas already done. |
1 |
AU stories provide a much larger scope in examining the ever present 'what if' story- Fringe in particular lends itself to this due to the nature of how the show has progressed through another universe, timeline, etc. and as such allows for a more expansive definition of what could happen. The limitation of canon is that there's only a limited number of perspectives they can tell. |
1 |
AUs let you explore aspects of the show, characters, and the setting that you wouldn't otherwise be able to. I can't think of any advantages to just canon, but I tend to walk a fine line between writing the characters as they are in canon canon and writing characters the way I want them to be if the world were a more feminist place. |
1 |
If well done, they are fun and can really work to illuminate aspects of the characters that we don't see in more canon settings. They can be funny/cracky. |
1 |
Advantages: Allows for the exploration of ideas and themes within the series from new angles and let's you play with some of the more outlandish concepts you might come up with. Disadvantages: It arguably isn't Fringe anymore. |
1 |
Advantages: a whole lot more possible plot ideas when there's another universe opened up Disadvantages: can make it harder to be consistent with plot and characterizations |
1 |
i prefer canon - the disadvantage of au is that it doesn't hold my attention that much because it doesn't fit into the story the show itself is telling |
1 |
Advantage of AU: Can explore plot/character in a lot of ways Disadvantage of AU: It would be really complicated to create an AU out of Fringe verse, just because there is already so much to work with in Fringe. What might be considered AU normally, might be something that could happen in Fringe. Advantage of canon: It's easier to turn to the source and look for references, characterization, and plot points. Disadvantage of canon: If themes are repeated, it can get boring. |
1 |
1 |
Advantages: You can pretty much mold the characters the way you want. Disadvantages: Not everyone agrees. |
1 |
I don't like reading or writing AUs usually. I like fan fiction to add to the already existing canon so that you can imagine a fic as backstory or something when watching the show. |
1 |
It's a different way of exploring the characters. AUs lets you see them in a different setting, which grants you a deeper understanding of them. Also, it's fun. |
1 |
Advantages of AU: more freedom for choosing plotlines/settings. Disadvantages: sometimes harder to keep in-character Advantages of canon: a clearer framework to work within. Disadvantages: may not feel like there's "room" to explore. |
1 |
It's easier to write timeline-changed AU because you can ignore canon events that you don't like, but you have to be really good with the characters and very clear about where you broke from the timeline. Full AU stories are hard because you have to make the characters really strong so readers can connect. |
1 |
Advantages: as long as characterization is kept, you can totally explore the characters in different scenarios, which you wouldn't be able to do otherwise. It mostly exposes the character to another reality but you can explore (both as a reader and as a writer) how to adapt to certain circumstances. Disadvantages: the more AU a story gets, the most likely these are not our characters but are some Mary Sues with the same name as our characters. if the author takes too much of a liberty then it's not fanfic anymore, not really, so what's the point? Only the names remain the same. But honestly, the thing I love about Fringe is that even AU can become cannon, because alternate universes ARE part of this fandom, so I do love to see what people come up with. |
1 |
The advantages of AU stories means that you can explore pairings that are not canon. They can be fun. |
1 |
1 |
AU can change characters, mess up the world in which they inhabit, and make me forget what really happened and what didn't. However, that helps make AUs awesome; you can take characters in different directions than you'll ever see in the show, and if it's done believably, it can be fantastic. |
1 |
1 |
AU stories can not only give a writer the freedom of universe building, but in a way it can also help develop a character in a way that they never would have in canon. Characters develop depending on scenarios, and AUs allow these characters to be thrown into them and develop in a way that is usually natural as they respond. However, I suppose AUs can also destroy a fan's perception on the show as they come to expect a certain reaction from a character that the author has written, instead of the canon response. |
1 |
I don't necessarily see any advantages or disadvantages, it just depends on the story you want to tell. I love AUs because you can explore the same characters in different circumstances, and the possibilities are endless. But canon is good for exploring the characters we know deeper, trying to get inside their heads, or maybe to fix or explain holes that were skimmed over on the show. |
1 |
Advantages - get to explore alternative what-if situations, which can be interesting and shed new light on both the canon as well as life, the multiverse and everything. Disadvantages - they end up missing a key ingredient of what people (or at least myself) read fanfic for, i.e. to get to spend more time with the characters and universe(s) we know and love. |
1 |
I love AUs because you get to still spend time with the characters you love outside of the ever changing canon universe. Though, it's true it's hard to find a good AU that doesn't just ignore establish characterization. |
1 |
For me, the Fringe universe is so rich and diverse that there's no need for AU stories. We already have two parallel universes, future-fic, and alternate timelines! |
1 |
1 |
Advantages - exploring characters and universes that either didn't get a lot of screen time or that you just wanted to know more about. - trying out all the what-if scenarios running through your head. - with season finales you sometimes just can't wait for the next season, so you write fanfiction to try and figure out what's going to happen to Olivia in season 3 or what happened to Peter at the end of that same season. Inevitably, this usually ends up in AU's. Disadvantages - no matter how good your fic is, it'll never be counted amongst canon and unless you know a really good artist you won't see the actors in the scenarios you wrote out. |
1 |
1 |
With AU, it's easy to lose the essence of the characters. However, there are some incredible AU writers whose stories are AU yet totally in keeping with the canon story, just another 'timeline'. Sometimes stories might start out canon, yet become AU as the actual story progresses; this doesn't lessen the quality of the story, but it seems to carry less impact. To me, canon stories just 'feel' more interesting as a general rule. |
1 |
I think AU stories are really interesting in fan fiction. For me, the good think about it is that you get to see the characters in different times and universes and, when the stories are good, how the characters act in this "new" environments. A disadvantage is that in a way, is ironic to write fanfiction going so far away from the original story as some AUs do. |
1 |
1 |
AU stories obviously have more freedom for the author, though one disadvantage of that is that you can end up with a fic where the characters are massively out of character because the author feels no constraint to canon since they're writing an AU. Canon stories are much more challenging, though because they're all drawing on the same canon, they can get a little stale - some fandoms in particular degenerate into everyone writing and rewriting the same plotline over and over. |
1 |
AU stories allow for exploring the characters of the show in different ways, through What-ifs and unique scenarios. Stories that adhere to canon challenge the author to remain loyal to the show's depiction of the characters and events. I don't think there are necessarily advantages or disadvantages of one over the other; both approaches to writing offer different ways of writing a story. |

My beta helps me keep track of characterization and voice, and helps me think through places where the story isn't quite right. |
1 |
I don't have a Fringe beta. In my other writing canons, my betas have been very helpful with keeping stories in character and with improving the plots. My betas also tell me when I'm being wordy, which is a big problem for me. |
1 |
They make it tighter, they make it make more sense, and they help fix typos. When the beta does more than just the latter; that's not always the case and those are the betas I don't go back to. |
1 |
They give good comments, bringing my attention to errors or other things I might have missed, and let me know what I'm doing well and what can be improved. |
1 |
Many ways! I have three regular betas, and I'll choose a particular one of them depending on what fandom I'm writing for (currently, I'm writing for about five different ones, on and off). But all three do the same sorts of things - if I'm having a problem with my idea flow, or expressing a scene in a particular way, I'll talk to them about it and try and work through the issues with them. If I feel like I've overused a word, they'll often suggest alternatives. If I'm bored or thinking about giving up on an idea, I'll run it by them to see how I can make it more interesting. They check my spelling and grammar, my characterisation and my overall plot, and in the past, I have altered all of those things based on what a beta has said about how the fic reads. I've been writing for about 20 years now, professionally and for enjoyment, and I always, ALWAYS get something out of a discussion with my betas. It might be some little understanding about my character that doesn't make it onto the page, it just stays in my head and informs how I relate to them, or it might be something huge that propels a story I wasn't enjoying writing to another level. But it's always something. |
1 |
1 |
First and foremost my beta readers check for language mistakes. Second, we sometimes discuss scenes and whether or not they work, pacing, characterisation, and so on. |
1 |
They tend to show me places where I am weak, for example, run-on descriptions or lacking of transitions, so it makes my stories flow easier. If there is any confusion, they point it out and I can rewrite so that it makes sense. Of course, having a beta improves the quality of the fic in some way. |
1 |
1 |
Correct my grammar, spelling, and any story inconsistencies (but I haven't used a beta for any Fringe fics). |
1 |
I don't usually have a beta reader. When I do use one, it's mostly to catch typos. If I'm not sure about the direction of the story itself, I'll talk to a friend first and bounce ideas off of them before getting started on most of the writing. |
1 |
I know that my beta will tell me if I have made missteps in plot or characters, if I meander away from the storyline, if there's anything false about what I've written. She offers suggestions and directions that might not have considered or had confidence to write. I might write outside my comfort zone knowing that she will tell me if it works or not. I can identify a sentence or section that I'm not totally pleased with, and she helps me revise it so that I'm happy with it. |

1 |
My beta reader is usually quick to respond, so it doesn't change my writing routine. I go through several drafts as I write. |
1 |
I have an idea, I draft the story, I send it off for initial beta, I receive her response, I revise the story, I send it back for a more detailed beta, I revise again, and then I post. |
1 |
Having a beta doesn't change my writing process, it just means I have someone I trust to share tidbits and ideas with as I go to make sure I stay on track and someone I trust who can offer me that first, vital feedback. |
1 |
I usually like to finish or almost finish a story before sending it to a beta, so no, my routine doesn't change that much. |
1 |
Typically, I write a first draft, tweak it, then send it to my beta. Occasionally, I'll just send her sections to give her an idea of my direction and get feedback on the concept or theme, before sending actual fic to be proofread. If it's a multi-chapter fic, I'll continue writing while she beta's previously written work. I probably would not be writing at all if I didn't have a beta. She gives me the confidence to publish. |
1 |
1 |
I don't think my routine changes much with a beta reader. It's more of a "read this and make sure there aren't any major problems," rather than getting it back and then making a lot of revisions again. |
1 |
No, it doesn't change. If all my betas were busy I'd still write the same way. I'm a person who is literally attacked by an idea, so I'll either scribble it all down in dot-point form in a journal or make quick notes about scenes/lines of dialogue I've thought of/anything else that needs remembering. When I have a good chunk of time, I'll sit down and write those out in fuller form. If I'm stuck, I'll email or call a beta, and if they're busy, I'll return to whatever inspired me (usually music, poetry or a photo/painting - I'm very visually inspired). Once the chapter (or fic, if it's short) is finished, I'll email it to the beta, who will then give me their thoughts. I then do another edit, email it back to them for a final check, and post. The only time it changes is if I'm *really* stuck at a scene, in which case, I tend to do the same process but in smaller chunks - I might email a sentence or a paragraph at a time to my beta, and get their thoughts immediately before progressing further. (Usually we do this over Skype, it's easier.) |
1 |
I write a chapter, beta reviews and I post if acceptable or I edit then send off again before I post. |
1 |
I generally write an outline of the whole story, in scenes. I will write each scene (not always in order) and send it, with the outline, to my beta for comments, suggestions, and editing. Once all the scenes are written, we do one last edit of the whole story. |
1 |
We don't have a fixed schedule. Sometimes I give them writing to beta, at other times I don't. My writing routine consists mainly of procrastinating and playing Civilization V. Sometimes I eventually come up with words. Sometimes they eventually coalesce into a story. If I like it well enough to post right away, I'll post it; if I like it but am not quite sure about how it would be received by others, or if I think it could be better, I'll send it off to one of my beta readers for comments. |
1 |
I write however much I feel is suitable- usually, I try to finish the fic before having it beta'd, or have enough of a skeleton fleshed out. Only have one beta reader, so. |
1 |
No. I writte the fic, then send it to the beta reader and when I get it back I see wat tey changed and decided what things to change and what not. I usually talk to the beta reader again if there's something they suggest I should change and I don't understand why that change is necessary. |
1 |
No. I write first and when I feel like I am finished, I send my draft to them and they make corrections and give me feedback on what works and what doesn't. Sometimes I take their advice - and sometimes I don't! It's my story, after all. |

I have been studying in English for four years and I actually find easier to write fiction in English than in my mother tongue. Also, there is a bigger community. |

i prefer english - it fits better with the original tone of the show (i never write fic in my mother tongue, usually watch all my shows in english) |

Because the only times I've actually written fic has been for the challenges in "fringeverse" over Livejournal and is an english community. I've never written abything in spanish that I remember. |

It keeps me engaged with the story and the characters, even when episodes aren't airing. |

It takes a broader look into the characters backgrounds, and possible scenarios they could face. |

It's just another way to spend time with these characters, and explore possibilities with them. |

Makes it fun. |
1 |
1 |
It keeps the characters alive outside the show, which inevitably has to end (each week, and ultimately overall as a show). It's a way to explore theories and ideas. |
1 |
I feel like fan fiction satisfies peoples' wants when the show doesn't go how they had hoped. I usually write about something I would've liked to have happened. |
1 |
I find that it has indeed enhanced my experience of the show, mostly in terms of the plot and mythology of the series (and the Observer character concept). I have also found a greater appreciation for the science and technology aspect of the show, as well as a better understanding of narrative in general, in how stories are created. I've also seen Fringe incorporate ideas that I myself planned to use in my fics, which has been rather amusing for me. |
1 |
It provides more perspectives from different fans. It broadens and deepens the world, letting individual fans take parts of the Fringe multiverse that they're particularly interested in and then go do more with it, fleshing out minor characters, taking the paths untrodden, exploring certain themes beyond what's done on the show, etc; leading eventually to a richer world for fans to enjoy and play in. (note: I've been answering most of these questions with respect to the fandoms I do write for. If I did write for Fringe, similar/identical answers would apply.) |
1 |
it extends the story beyoond the 100 episodes we got and lets the show live on even after it ended |
1 |
1 |
character exploration. Mainly because of that. And also fanfic gives the opportunity to develop certain relationships that at some point might have been possible but in the end weren't (blue!Lincoln/blue!Olivia). I do love as well how authors can go back to a certain point in the story and make it their own. Personally, I loved Altliv & Henry so to be able to have stories where Henry doesn't die is glorious. |
1 |
1 |
Fic is the way to fill in the blanks, and the Fringe canon provides lots of space in which to write (not a criticism). Many writers offer a perspective on characters or situations that I might not've seen on the show, but the different viewpoints make me a more informed viewer. Now, having fic makes seeing the end of the series a little easier. I know that the stories and characters will continue to live on in fic. |
1 |
To be honest, I don't write to enhance a world, and I've never really thought about it. I write primarily for me, to exorcise a thought or feeling that I have. If others enjoy reading it, that's fabulous, and if they relate, even better. But I'm not writing *for an audience* when I write fic. One of the things that I most hate is authors who routinely beg for feedback or hold their next chapter to ransom (ie. "I'll put the next one up soon if you guys give me good feedback on this" - it's very common on tumblr and fanfiction.net). For me, writing is something I have to do, like breathing, and it doesn't need external validation or someone to say "oh yes, this is good!" for me to want to continue. Nor should it. If your only reason for writing a fic is so that someone comes along and tells you how fabulous you are, you're not really a writer, you're just craving attention. |
1 |
It's all about the characters and writing about their inner thoughts, trying to identify with them in a very personal way. It truly enhances the viewing experience. |
1 |
Keeps the show alive, gives the fan another outlet for their addiction to characters/story lines, opens the mind up for other possibilities in story lines- keeps you thinking. |
1 |
1 |
It explores a lot of 'what if' possibilities, as well as providing a closer examination of some details that don't get as much focus in the show. |
1 |
It gives you a deeper understanding of the world and the characters. It lets you explore things the show doesn't. |
1 |
It broadens the Fringe world. There's only so much time that the writers have to tell stories. Some plotlines and information are bound to get lost and I love reading that kind of stuff in fanfiction where it receives the love and time to get fleshed out. |
1 |
I suppose, as a writer and a reader, fanfiction can really help a person understand a character better as people do tend to relate to real world scenarios when writing. Sometimes, there are themes on the show that I may not fully understand, but fanfiction can sometimes help to open my eyes to it, by looking at it from a different point of view. |
1 |
It helps fans linger in the Fringe world and explore new ideas and theories the show otherwise wouldn't have the time or inclination to address. It only enhances what we are given from the powers that be. |
1 |
1 |
It forces me to truly examine what the show is saying, where the plot may be going, and takes a deeper look into what the characters are feeling, and that's what I enjoy most about the show -the emotional journeys of the people. |
1 |
Si. |

It allows authors (and readers) to explore aspects not addressed onscreen, and there are so many of these in a universe like Fringe's! |

"If you hate a character, then you in your story for whatever reason you need to him or her what do you do?" |

Only that I find there aren't enough fics that don't revolve around P/O in some way (case fics, sci-fi, interesting AU scenarios, etc.), and that since my goal was to improve my writing through fanfiction (my ultimate ambition being professional authorship), I find that I have improved as a writer immensely since I first began. |

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be many new fan fictions coming out. There have been a handful but I haven't really found too many new ones that I get sucked into. There are a handful of old ones that I've gotten into only to realize it hasn't been updated in years. |

I hope that after the show ends that the Fringe fandom will be around for a long time. I am a huge X-Files fan and am still very much into fanfic for that show and grateful that there are still authors writing for it, so it would be nice for the Fringe fandom to follow suit. |

Fanfiction is a way for fans to express themselves and make this characters have a life beyond tv. I love to read other people's takes on these characters and see what their reaction to the cannon plot is and how they can bend and twist each little thing and create a whole story from it. To me it's more than basic entertainment. |

It's highly possible I'm just not looking in the right places, but I just find it really difficult to find good fanfiction that doesn't focus on a pairing and that's more than one chapter long... |

At Comic-Con, when the panel was discussing ways that Fringe could continue after the show itself ended, some of the cast members even mentioned how they considered fanfic to be a good way to continue the story. Most of the people in the Fringe fandom that I know felt very happy about this comment. |

I haven't written any Fringe fanfiction yet, but I am thinking about attempting it during the mid-season hiatus. |

It is a small community with some very talented and original authors. Fringe fans are extremely creative and add another layer to the fandom. I am very glad to be a part of it. |

I think that what explain why someone read a fanfiction is the love that people have for a show. The histories created by fans are a way of extend the feelings that the show brings to you. It´s a way of keeping the connection with the story and go beyond. Many fanfictions are based in "what if" and these new possibilities are what fascinate the readers. |

I think some of it is very well written, and some appallingly badly written. I enjoy some writers, and it become easy very quickly to identify who are the good writers. I think it's a great past-time and keeps you connected with the show, especially during breaks. I think though the actual writing and contributing does not sem all that accessible for new contributers. I had NEVER red fan fic before but enjoy this show so much, I wanted to extend my time in it. |

I absolutely LOVE Fringe and the fanfiction helps me to further my love and interest by being able to read stories written by other people who share the same love as I. |

Fringe the show has created such a rich landscape - the characters are so well defined. I have not written fiction in almost 40 years, but the stories I've written for Fringe have demanded to come out of my head and onto 'paper' if you will. It's been incredibly satisfying to me to write about a show I love so much, to have an outlet and a reason to examine the characters, the stories, the philosophy of Fringe. I've met so many wonderful people through Fringe, and gotten to know them even better by reading & writing fic. It's very satisfying to hear someone tell me how much they've enjoyed my writing, that it's moved them to laughter, or tears, or a better understanding of the show. I'm quite proud of some of my work, and that's been a terrific boost to my own self-confidence. There are some tremendously creative people in the Fringe fandom, both in fic and other mediums. I've read stories that have made me laugh and cry, that have excited me in all kinds of ways, and that have left me with a 'warm fuzzy' feeling about the world in general. Fic is not only a reflection of the show we write about, but the people who watch and write. I like knowing those people are out in the world. |

I've been trying to figure out why I haven't gotten into Fringe fanfic the way I have with other fandoms, and I think a big part of it is that the show is still on air - such that I'm hesitant to write anything that might end up contradicted by canon as the story develops. A large part of my fanfic-writing enjoyment comes from being able to build my own coherent fanon on top of the show, where everything meshes neatly with canon. And I can't do that with Fringe, because it's not over yet, and I want to know as much as possible before I dive in. Though I did manage to write a good amount of Heroes fanfic even when that show was still running; but that's possibly because Heroes canon had a reputation for contradicting itself (and the writers finding convoluted ways to get out of it), and it seemed only fitting that the fanfic would be the same. |

1 |
I like how diversified it is, in the beggining there was only one "main" pairing, now it's imposible to keep track of all the pairing you can take from that show. If I'm being onet, I do miss people writting about Peter and Olivia as the main focus. |
1 |
I think I will get more involved with the Fan Fic when the series has finished. This will give me a link to the series well after it is gone. Fan Fiction can also fill in blanks and thoughts which sometimes turn into canon sometimes not. |

Fanfiction has really opened up my eyes to the potential storylines for the characters. Even in the AU. |
1 |
It can be difficult to pick ones to read that don't make you cringe, but there are a few that are quite well written. Much as I enjoyed the virtual season 3 of Sports Night so much that it felt like it actually existed, I'm hoping that eventually I will find some Fringe fic that feels like it could have actually happened. |

I found the structure of the survey to be pretty leading at times and declined to answer more than once because none of the options worked, or answered in a ways that were only kind of sort of right, but were the closest to the mark. Also, yo, gender is more than "male" or "female". |
1 |
